The Frozen Temple

Post  arhim on Thu May 02, 2013 12:02 am

Inn of the Comfortable Saddle

Arhim bids farewell to the last of the Casino guests for the evening, a man stands patiently waiting for him.

Ah, Timon, how are you.

I am very well Mr. Nocdane. I received your message. What can I do for you?

I would like to comission the society to investigate something for me.

What is that?

It is on a need to know basis. If you would, please go to the Arcane Tower and fetch me Lord Tomon Arath. This is a matter I wish him to lead.

What?

You are dismissed.

Arhim walks up the stairs to his private quarters.

Lord Tomon enlists the help of Jinxy, Kara, Wine, Baratus, and Anna to answer Arhim's summons. Lord Tomon meets briefly with Timon of the Adventure Society and shortly is escorted to Arhim's private chambers. Arhim shows a book to Tomon and explains, that his request is simple enough, make a map of their travels. Arhim suggests start with the dwarves as no one knows the Finisterre Mountains as well as they.

Lord Tomon and Co. head to Saban, then travel via ship to Port Smith, where they head to the dwarven outpost. After the Co. offends the dwarves, Tomon hires one of them to show them the way to the High Mountains. It is unknown what happened to them, though it is rumored that Company found the High Mountains, home of the Ice Drake and confirmed the location of the Legendary Frozen Temple of the Ice Lord. Though there has been no mention of there actually being an Ice Lord that inhabits it.

Wine was in a real sulk. His trip to the frozen north had been simply frightful! It was so damnably cold that even his partially mummified skin took frostbite, everything hostile was too well equipped with fangs and talons and iron-hard skin, why some demonic priest had even had the audacity to practically blast the life out of him with some wretched curse he himself was not even able to cajole the secrets of from his own evil patron and, when the prospect of a shred of pleasure was tantalisingly dangled before him in the shape of one of his female co-adventurers falling senseless before him, another of his party had the barefaced gall to revive her before he, Wine had had the opportunity to drag her into a dark corner and ..... But no, there was no point dwelling on lost opportunities. Just around the corner someone else more succulent would appear and ..... "Oh, hello my dear. A priest, you need a priest? Well aren't you a lucky girl. Just confess your sins and you'll feel much better. Now I happen to have a room at this establishment and you can tell me everything in private. We wouldn't want anyone distur... I mean overhearing us ... err you now would we. Yes just up here, now don't you worry when we've finished you won't be worrying about your sins anymore, oh no. I'm going to give you such a good shriving ....." Twisted Evil
